Samxhose Setlabosha was born into the Bayei tribe, inside the Okavango Delta. For years, he left home to work in the tourism industry — an industry built on his people’s land, yet one that gives little back to them.
He decided to return. With the knowledge and experience he gained working outside, Samxhose came back to the Delta to help his community. His goal: to make sure the people living in the heart of this world-famous tourist destination finally benefit from it too. This is a story about going home, and about using what you’ve learned to lift up the people you came from.
