Cedar was only five months old when poachers killed his mother. Alone and pushed aside by his own troop, he had to fight for his place. Then an old, respected chimp named Mulligan took him in and everything began to change. As Cedar grew, so did the danger. A rival group led by a powerful chimp named Garrison lived nearby, and the two communities often clashed over land and food.
